My big hipped German mistress
Kacey, I did think about the split grill when I re-did the engine lid. It's a C4S so it did not come with the split grill originally, but the prior owner converted it to rear wheel drive (yes, another project for me) so I could justify it. Also, I liked the reference to the early 356s and 550 Spyders with split grills. But at the time I felt so much had been done to the car before to make it non-stock that I wanted to get it back to a stock appearance. I am thinking about an RS rear spoiler though. They look really good on a wide body car. If I do it, it will be after I finish with the suspension and gearbox, and get it converted back to all wheel drive.

Very well executed! I really dig the subtle decal. I'm with ya on the split grill. I think an RS spoiler would be the correct route here. I can't wait to do the euro bumper swap on mine. I am super concerned about the paint matching...Ocean Blue Metallic car. I have a shop in mind who has painted many 911's including a few 993's, so we'll see how that goes.

ECU, FabSpeed, and Script
I did the ECU re-flash and the FabSpeed sportcats at the same time (something I knew I shouldn't do because it makes trouble shooting complicated). I ended up with a CEL. Did a lot of trouble shooting, but it turned out that the CEL was for the fuel pump relay that was failing. Replaced that, problem solved.
I really like how the car drives with the re-flash and sportcats. It feels more responsive, more lively, and more urgent. It is a little like when I installed the lightweight flywheel. It was worth the expense to me.
My car has the motorsound mufflers. With the sportcats, it sounds a little louder and the tone is deeper. If your goal is to really improve sound, you probably should go for Fister mufflers. For me, the motorsound mufflers are fine.
The scripts are exact duplicates of factory early 911 side scripts. Bob Tilton sells them for about $100, and they are terrific. Here is his email address: bobt@werkcrew.com And here is a link to the 911S registry with pictures of a lot of cars with his decals on them: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-decals-2.html

It has been a while since I last posted on this thread. I wanted to share a few upgrades with my Rennlist buddies. First, 993 RS rear brakes and TT hollow spoke Technical wheels:

06.04.17 Update!
And this one I'm especially proud of. I located a single 993 RS/CS leather sport seat in Germany, painted it Porsche body color black, and bought correct factory mounting hardware. It fits like an Italian suit:

To be continued...
Stay tuned. I have a complete 993 RS suspension with all Elephant Racing sport hardness bushings and 993 RS/CS strut brace waiting in line for installation. Pictures to follow...

And by the way...
Just in case anyone is thinking "I wonder what he is going to do with the turbo rear brakes he pulled off," they will be posted soon in the Rennlist classifieds.
