Ira,

Any update? If you have an idea of what the kit will cost I am interested. I have a set of RS uprights I can buy now but would prefer to buy the kit and do the job once.

Thanks

Check this option:

I wonder what they include for the inner rod. They refer to rennsport version since the gt2 has been discounted. Perhaps what we are waiting for already exists in this kit. I could not find the rennsport tie rods separately tho. Pricing on the entire kit is not too bad either.

Carnewal's pic is of the RSR mono-ball tie rod, both outer and inner(outer is just the RS piece), in the not he says the RSR mono-ball inner is NLA the kit will be supplies w/ the RS outer and inner. The RS inner is stiffer rubber than the stock inner but not as precise as the RSR mono-ball inner.

I agree on all counts but I would need additional info. I was looking to use the Tarrett outer tie rod ends since I am using this for my widebody 964 in the turbo (outer) position. So they need to be a bit longer. I am using the stock 993 in the inner position now but I am not as happy as i would like to be with it. I really could use the wider track..

I will contact Gert and see what he says. I would prefer not to deal with the customs issues and additional unknown fees later, but that price is not half bad.

I would be willing to buy the kit and wait for the inners later if they have an idea on pricing. I could still use my pinned inners for the time being.

Thanks for the link.

Gotcha. I thought Rennsport version might mean aftermarket RSR replica that we are waiting for here.

OP, Tarrett: Has there been any updates on this?
I'm starting my suspension refresh, would love to get this within the next month if sorted out and ready to ship.

Thanks

I was planning on posting this afternoon but just couldn't wait any longer. We finally have the tie rods!! I will be setting up for a group buy to order through the website, and will be posting details shortly. Thanks you guys for your motivation to design this product, and for you understanding with how long it has taken.

Ordering details to follow shortly.

Thanks,
Ira

EDIT: went ahead and ordered as i'm in a bit of rush. Hope we can sort the discount later.

What can one expect out of these RSR style inner tie rods vs pinning the stock tie rod mod? Do you think the RSR style will be a big improvement in direct steering feel? Thanks for feedback!

We hit snags that I never imagined, but they’re finally in and look great! Anyone interested, please order through the Tarett Engineering website (link below). We also set up a complete package with the EVO uprights with bearings, inner tie rods, and ERP outer bump steer tie rods.

To order the tie rods, follow this link to the 993 Inner Tie Rod webpage. At checkout, use the discount code GBRL993RSRTR. The inner tie rod price will be reduced by 15% from the $149 each retail price. This offer is valid for two weeks, until 6/2/16. We have a list of people interested, so please include your Rennlist user name so we can check you off and make sure no one is missed. Please mail me at sales@tarett.com with any questions.

We’re very excited to be bringing this new product to market. Thanks again for all the support, encouragement, and especially for your patients with this project.

Thanks!
Ira

I would expect them to feel the same, if the pinning is done correctly. Either method would add a significant amount of feedback.
