Will do. Nothing ugly like you had in mind.
In case I forget to post, e-mail me to remind me.

Lightbulb

I met a guy in Las Vegas who brought back a 993 TT from Germany with a factory installed (German only) SatNav option.

It had a 5" screen with remote control mounted in a center console (like the clunky speakerphone option).

The antenna was mounted just in front of the windshield on the hood and painted Artc. Silver the same as the body (you can see it in the middle picture as the front hood is raised).

The German Nav opt also included wheel sensors like the 996's PCM, however his map display was in German and the CD only worked in Germany.

I liked the look of it so much I bought a Speaker phone console on EBay for $250 to use when I decide to put a Nav system into my 993TT. The console will fit a 7" screen nicely.

Other Pics of the car can be seen here- http://www.mediarev.com/porsche/turbo.html
He has some neat options and his car may still be for sale, although he won't part for it cheap- I already tried that

Thanks Jean-Marc. Will do.

Cool pics richfitz. Interesting looking attachment to the sun visor? and I thought headlamp levelers were standard in German spec?

Wouldn't a Turbo S also have to have the rear fender intakes? I wonder what it is exactly?

richfitz,

That's a sweeeeeeeet car. I thought the car would have Euro front bumper or did the US made him replace it. Also, I'd assumed the 'Big Red' brake was replaced with the 'Big Silver'?

Peace!

Cool

You are all right to some degree on the silver turbo in the pictures.

The owner was an Air Force Master Sgt. who was stationed in Germany for a number of years.

He bought the car as US spec direct from Porsche/Germany during is deployment. Here is what I remember about some of the options.

-US Spec Base car and engine
-Factory installed turbo S pipes, spoiler, and front air ducts
-German Factory Options-rear Fog Lamps, Sat Nav System.
-Seat Backs Painted body color.
-TechArt steering wheel
-Aftermarket side skirts
