Fabspeed Product Highlight: Porsche 993 Carrera Sport Cat X-Pipe
Fabspeed Porsche 993 Carrera Sport Cat X-Pipe
This Sport Cat X-Pipe makes a solid +16whp and +19ft-lbs of torque. Our Sport Cat X-Pipe uses a German manufactured 200-cell tri-metallic HJS Sport Catalytic Converters that are easily the best on the market. The best and most unique fact about our Sport Cat X-Pipe is that it is modular, so it gives you the ability to swap out the HJS 200-Cell Cats for our Fabspeed Catbypass Pipes. They are held securely together by V-Bands Clamps that are used on Formula 1 and Indy Cars. We were able to swap out our Fabspeed Sport Cats with our Fabspeed Catbypass Pipes on our Chassis Dyno without using a lift. It is a quick and easy process that is painless using an 11mm wrench.
Our 993 Sport Cat X-Pipe is fabricated from cast stainless steel with a laser cut window in between the X. The X-Pipe creates a vacuum that helps increase exhaust velocity through the X portion of the piping. The radius in the X-Pipe is not cheated and produces a smooth flow to allow the most efficient exhaust flow possible.
Here's a video clip of a Porsche 993 with our Fabspeed Sport Cat X-Pipe for an idea of what it sounds like:
How do this work for '95 993s that have only one O2 sensor? Do you just plug one of the ports and read the O2 levels out of one engine bank?
It looks that way to me, for a '95 the bung would ideally be where it is stamped "Fabspeed" in the middle of the X and that would be the only O2 sensor port.
Probably not an issue but if it is O2 sensor bungs are easy to obtain and weld in.
There are also readily available screw plugs for unused O2 sensor ports.

Maybe Fabspeed can even make this way on order?
Our Bischoff Style X-Pipe only has the one hole. The Gillet style can come with plugs if necessary.
Funny, the picture is misleading then since the flanges shown are Bischoff style.
The photo depicted is of our newer design which is correct. You would receive Bung Plugs to plug one of the holes for our newer design of the X-Pipe. It is our first generation X-Pipe that has only one hole. It is still located on the side of the piping, not in the middle like the factory exhaust.
i placed an order last week during the black friday special for the fabspeed x pipe for my 993. the catless x pipe will be mated to a set of FD stage III mufflers. i havent heard this combo before (anyone have it?), but i am looking for that unmistakable brutal flat 6 noise and i think this should do it. hope to get the x pipe soon and get some videos before the snow really hits. look forward to posting some pics as well.

I have a video of Fabspeed X pipe, into cat delete, into Fabspeed Maxflows. The video is of my car on the dyno, putting out 255 HP. With stock cat and sport mufflers it was putting out 239 HP. You'll have to PM me, can't seem to upload it to Rennlist.

Thanks for always chiming in and offering to share your videos, Martin! I appreciate it!
