Child Booster Seat

Child Booster Seat
I know the topic has been covered, having trouble with search. I am looking for a booster seat to fit in the back. All the ones I have seen do not sit firmly on on the seat bottom (seat is too fat). Does anyone have suggestions? Does the Britax seat that Porsche sells fit in the back? Is there an airbag disconnect for our cars? Any help would be great. And yes, I have seen the p-car DIY on car seat but it isn't a booster and doesn't look to sit firmly on the bottom. Thanks.

I just bought the Britax Star-Riser Comfy Racer. It fits nice and snug and my 3 YO loves it. I paid $89.00 including shipping from Little Folks 1-800-675-9669. No affiliation...

I wish I could remember the name of the one I have. I'll check tonight. Go to ToysRUs and look for the cheapest (least expensive) child seat, it should be less than $50. Look at the bottom of the seat; it should look just like the seat indention of the back seat. I've been using mine for over a year now and it fits perfectly.

Moose,
It's the Century Brevura (sp?) Classic, and it fits perfectly in the back seat. I simply removed the belts and use it as a booster seat. As George said, ToysRUs has them cheap.

Moose - I bought the Britax Star Riser. It's a great looking seat, too.

I also have a Century Brevara from ToysRus. A bit of play - maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch - in the forward movement at the top of the seat, but works fine. Put a towel underneath it so you don't scuff the bottom or back of the seat.

I also have the Century Brevara. Fit is Ok but not perfect. I've read in previous threads that fitting a 964 style lap belt reduces "play".
I sincerely recommend to fit the high anchor point supplied with the Century through the rear parcel shelf, see picture attached. The steel rear bulkhead underneath takes the anchor without modifications on my '95, the hole in the shelf doesn't bother me and Porsche even has a factory fitting to close it once the seat is removed (not for while though).
Enjoy

I have the Porsche Zoom/Comfy booster which is basically the Britax with an airbag deactivation strap on it. The airbag deactivation only works on MY97 and above. Also, if you cannot buy the deactivation arm seperately from the booster, if you wanted to buy one then the other.
I need to get a child seat for my 3mth old in the coming months and have heard the Century Brevurra mentioned many times on these boards. However, according to the Century website it's no longer made.
Did anyone buy a NEW Brevurra recently?

This will allow for the seat to fit snugly against the rear/side where the buckle is.

Hi David - no I dont think so...it came with the car and from what I can gather from the info I got from the cars documents and from previous owners - it hasn't been altered. It had oem rear speakers until I changed them for the Kenwoods you see there.
993Widebody - it fits, it works and it doesn't move about. Pic was taken after seat was placed back into the back of the car but not used yet...
I'll take the OJ Simpson definition of the word 'glove'

To Dave Crellin,
The Century Brevara works only for kids capable of sitting upright, facing forward and keeping their heads in check. There is no side support on the upper torso and neck. I waited until 19-20 month or so and our kid was big and strong early on. My seat was bought 1.5 years ago indeed, but I did see very similar models from Century recently.
Enjoy
