993 Deal of the Decade?
So I recently saw a low mileage white 1996 993TT listed for $31,000 on Craigslist locally. I promptly sent an e-mail to the seller and then flagged the ad as a fake. I haven't heard anything from the seller so I strongly suspect it was either a fake or snatched up by a dealer. The pictures and the description didn't set off any red flags for me, but that asking price sure did!
Here is the info for your appreciation:
Anyone snag this bargain? Anyone have further details regarding whether it is true or a fake?
I might have lots a little sleep fantasizing about this ad being legit and me being the first mover on it.

no way a TT went for that price.

would have been better than the deal of a decade, other than a roller, a clean titled 993TT has never been south of $60K as far as I know.
No hard evidence that it is fake, but it sure doesn't smell too good.
there are those stories about owner dying and the family selling off stuff, and having no idea what they really have, widow looked up 993 blue book and had no idea car was a turbo....strange,and not very probable, but it COULD happen.

I put this on the TT forum yesterday. Few responses that figured it was a scam. One I agreed with. The (soon to be) ex wife selling it as per divorce decree, so she can split selling price with her soon to be ex husband. My brother scored some really nice cars in the past under these very circumstances. Who knows, may be?

Otherside of this is the chumps who think they'll suck someone into bringing hard, cold cash at a screaming deal. Then they part them of their cash via gunpoint. I'd like to find those deals, I show up armed (lawfully) and save some tax payer money.

If I get a response, I might want to call upon you for a Rennfax.

Not a scam at all, I already wired them my money. They said the car will be ready for delivery shortly and will let me know. Oh boy, I can't wait. They sounded really honest in our email exchanges. There were a lot of grammatical and spelling errors in the email, but i'm sure it all good. I will post pictures as soon as I get it.
