Default Pennsylvania State Inspections

Another question for people in the Philly area:

What is a good place to go for the state inspection stickers? We are in Wayne, and I work in Fort Washington, so ideally it would be convenient to one of those locations.

Thanks!

I have a recomendation in Harrisburg if you are interested. No worries of damage, unknown people driving your car, etc.

Thanks. Just got one for Ambler too. Harrisburg is a bit of a haul for the inspection with the schedules at home and work... Would be a decent drive though!

Might be worth the trip if you bundle an oil change in as well.

Brian,

If you get some suggestions, please pass them along. I'm a bit north of you near Doylestown but wouldn't driving a bit south for a recommended place.

Did you ever get your clutch replaced? I would recommend Premier Eurocars in Devon or Possum Hollow.

No test drive, just an annual inspection (brakes, tires, shocks, lights, ect) and emissions test if you drive over 5K/y. Less than 5K/y you get an exemption.

No, haven't done the clutch yet. I have decided that it will be a winter project, and then will get the 120k service done as well.

I am looking to have Perf Auto do the clutch this winter, so this would be a good opportunity to check them out.

After reading up a little more, I found that I have to get the plates first, then the inspection, so just need to plan out a little bit. I would like to avoid multiple trips to get plates, but with needing to get 3 cars inspected, it might come down to that.

You work in Fort Washington, have you been to our facility?! I think that the owner of Fabspeed uses Bob Fox in Ambler.

I do have to say it makes me miss the corruption of Illinois where my '95 was age-exempt from emissions testing...
