993 thule 300 install
Unbearably noisy with roof open. Very quite with everything closed at 80mph.

Correct. Especially with a Cross bike on it.

Considered it as well, however I would get shorter feet for the front and longer for the rear cross bars to keep the carrier more horizontal.
