Pcarhiway, 993 C2S, Big Horn Mtn WY tour
Last Sunday I took off on a 482 mile loop that took me up over, around and back through the Big Horn Mountains of north central Wyoming.
The route was Casper-Kaycee-Buffalo-Tensleep-Basin-Greybull-Shell-Dayton-Sheridan-Buffalo-Casper.
The weather started out bright sunshine which then later on turned to rain and clouds, snow showers, sleet, a bit of hail, mixed sunshine and ended with a brilliant sunset.
Here are a few photos along the way....

Bruce- gorgeous drive! Glad to see you are driving the car, with the current run up in prices so many people have stopped those 500 mile drives for "no purpose other than enjoying the car" drives... What a shame! We will be enjoying a similair amount of miles and smiles here this weekend!

Shell to Dayton, HWY 14 premier Porsche road !!
Here is the Google Maps link to the best Pcar road in Wyoming that I have found so far, 2nd and 3rd gear switchbacks and curves for about 60 miles, and beautiful scenery

Fogbound and then snow showers ....
For anyone interested in Rocky Mountain roadside geology, the rock behind the car in the second and fourth photos is an outcrop of the Madison formation.
Several hundred miles NE of here in North Dakota the Madison geologic zone contains the Mission Canyon formation (all a limestone which is about 330 million years old). It produces oil, pretty abundantly. We are able to produce and sell the oil and pay for things like Porsche 993s .... thank you, Madison formation.

I hope you all have a great 993Fest for 2014 !! I will do my best to make it next year.
Agreed --- roads like this and piling on the miles is what 993 ownership means to me, the cars are just too much fun to let them sit in the garage.
