I've been tracking these cars since I bought my 964 14 years ago and can't remember a ~60k miles widebody ever going below $40k and the lower mile widebodies going for less than $45-50k.
That's only up $5-10k from the $30-35k at which high mileage widebody 993s bottomed out three-four years ago.

I would suspect that would be a $60-65k car now.
Here is a pricing request that he put up about the car at the time he listed it for sale, I believe it took about 4-5 months to finally sell although he was not pushing to sell it very hard. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-for-sale.html

no affiliation with this.... but this seems to not be a garage queen at 50k miles.. nice recent work.. but wow.. that's a hefty price tag.

You might be a little low, Joe, because a pristine 100K WB with a documented service history in mint condition with an updated suspension, new clutch and some tasty mods is worth well over $55K all day long in this red hot market

I agree. Was offered $65k for my turbo unsolicited.. Still will not sell. Similar mileage turbo went for $70K a few weeks ago on eBay I think and do not have mods and the typical updates.

My boss bought a 55k mile 97 C2s in 2009 for $36k. It was in very good shape (one fender and the bumper had been resprayed) and had some nice options (lightronics, abd, lsd, some factory carbon fiber and clear bra) but no sport seats. He had it for about a year and it took him several months to sell it for $39k.
I would suspect that would be a $60-65k car now.

Hiya....I'm the one that purchased Doug's car - I remember taking about 8 hrs to waffle on it before I turned around and changed my mind to purchase it. This after I saw his ad a couple of months after the fact and inquired about whether the car was still for sale. I was feeling remorse after selling my first 993 (which went back to Germany incidentally). As nearly spontaneous a decision as it was, my gut told me to do it...glad I did because the market now is nutty. Give Doug my best if you see him!

I was offered this 34,000 mile car in September 2009 for $43,000 by its then owner who, after he couldn't find a buyer, took it to TruSpeed: http://www.truspeedmotorcars.com/car...s.php?cid=1745
I passed It was too much coin for me back then.
I ended up with a 102,000 mile Polar Silver/Midnight Blue C4S and paid $31,500. Sold that last year with 112,000 miles for $42,000 to the first person who came to look at it.
Hell, my RSA back in the day was a $24,000 car and I ended up bartering a spare 964 engine I had as part of the deal and paid $18,000 for it. Good luck finding one of those cars now in just about any condition.
The market has changed dramatically and hindsight is always 20/20. Best entry level Porsche coupe IMO is a well-maintained 951. Have a little more to spend - get a 996 C4S. The best looking 996 (again, IMO) and can be had for relatively little money.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.....Memory Lane. I've posted here before that I got the RSA w/ 40K (and poorly repaired) for $18K in 2000--the one I bought to club race. And sold a good chassis, iffy paint, fully optioned '73S coupe for $20K to make it happen, since that was never going to be classified well in club racing.
Remember how hard it was to sell the 140K RSA with a good repaint for $22K three years ago? (And the one guy who told me I'd be fortunate to take his $8500 offer.)
And to mark the market, just before I bought the 4S in '04 I could have had a friend's late sister's white/blue 4S ~60K miler for under $40K. But that was an SAI/valve job car, and we weren't all clued into discounting them for that back then. Someone bought it, though. Always wondered what happened to that car.

Highest price C4S I have ever seen and it doesn't even have any rare options.

Compared to the canepa car, this looks like a steal! It's already sold too. No affiliation.
