Nice thread, great project with attention to detail!
At some point in the future, I'd like to do the same, but on a 964 and go WB!

Absolutely love the finished car, fantastic results!

One question I have, perhaps any other speedster owners could reply to, is when the roof is stowed, is there any luggage space left behind the rear seats?

If you lift the clamshell... and you do not have the rear seat delete you can fit the following:

1.Porsche duffel bag complete
2.Porsche duffel bag (side parts taken off)
3.17" labtop bag
4.DSLR camera bag
5.Side parts from Porsche Duffel
6.about 10 1 Liter powerade's (did i mention it is so hot here in California?)
7.misc. small items

After seeing how useful the rear is for storage without the RSD my wife (who is now in charge of the project ) decided she will not put one in. She will join the Forum soon and say hello after some of this Porsche Parade Craziness calms down...

Ben-- Awoke to see last night's texts: I'll call from the road in a few.
Enjoy everything you've accomplished; AMAZING what you've done on a compressed schedule while on the east coast
THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting the pictures!!! (see you tomorrow!!)

Yes, we are at spot 224.... we are in the modified street class.

Yes, he is a standup guy and all the guys at LAPD have been overworked and stressing over this car... mainly due to outside contractors.... The car will have a lot of things redone after the show.... we had some difficulties with the painter.... and Todd from LA Dismantlers assured me we will get the car properly sorted out after Porsche Parade... and my wife has added quite a few things to the list

I think it would look sweet...and the interior one in your console. Look forward to seeing it this week as we head up in the am.
I'm not in charge anymore up to the wife at this point

Wow! Sorry Ben, I don't want to send your fantastic thread off topic but I never realised that you could fit all that as well as the roof under the clamshell. Thanks for taking the time to answer & enjoy the trip, I look forward to further photos

Default Concours d'Elegance

Ok.... We are still exhausted.... we still feel like we are sleep deprived... but i will post some information. We entered the Concours d'Elegance to have fun. We met a lot of amazing people... you know, the ones that come up to you to help you.... i'm not talking about the ones that look at you and say under their breath "look at them.... they don't know what they are doing"...... we didn't, so what?

Anyway, 3 new friends that we met in the concours prep area (and one at the staging), helped us, came up to us.... and showed us techniques... and one of them even insisted on cleaning our top for us..... all won first place in their class!! That tells you a lot about people's characters... And all were so humble and couldn't believe they won! In the concours prep area, we met a lot of interesting people..... it was like a private party..... absolutely, amazing fun!

Here are the judges going over our car:

It was really exciting to see... of course... not fun to see when they put their hands in crevices that had dirt..... grease on the seat rail tracks..... misalignment of the center lense..... there was a stone chip somewhere on the front glass.... that took me 2 days to find!!.....wow!... they really looked at everything! All i have to say is that we scored 137.8 out of 140... and finished in 5th place in our class!!! and my wife and myself were soooo happy!! this was our first concours

Here are some more detail shots of the car:

How cool is it that the grill badge from the 2014 Monterey Porsche Parade matched our car!!

Interior Shots:

Top up:

There will be more to come... and more pictures....
