Just hit another milestone with the barn
Most of the siding is done and painted, installed my outdoor lighting
Thought I would update the post with some new pics

Not my car collection, lol. Just a very successful architect we have crossed paths with several times throughout the years. Your barn is very nicely done. Wondering who did the millwork for you.

I'm in the Greenfield Hill section of Fairfield. Basically build from North Salem, NY into Greenwich up through Fairfield County and up as far as Watch Hill RI. As you know it is all about the beach these days.

Wow - just incredible. Very, very nicely done.

I do site work and storm drainage design and was wondering about the intricate retaining wall layout. Then I saw the pictures of how it all works with the house, garage, pool, etc.

May you enjoy this for many years to come!

Comments and suggestions:
1) Your garage is too far from your house, especially given it's Connecticut where there is cold, snow and ice.
2) Your garage is already too small!
3) It's much too classy for "real work" - who would risk getting oil on the floor even to change the oil?

3) Suggest you kick out the back of the garage to make it deeper for all the extra and large car parts (wheels, tires, fenders, spare engines/trannies), tool boxes, a rotisserie'd car, and...
4) ...to make room for living space! MOVE INTO YOUR GARAGE -- sell the house!

Seriously, great looking building. Totally envious.

That’s what I am trying to figure out now.
the inside is a mess, oil spills, polyeurathane drips from finishing the doors, trying to find a balance between feeling finished inside and not being afraid to get it dirty

No worries. It's like a new car: as soon as you get the first dent or accident, you stop trying to overly baby it. Same with the GAR - soon as you get the first major oil spill (like forgetting to put back the drain plug -- guess how I know), you'll figger it out.
Great garage...swooning.
