Again. What is the prefered security system? LoJack? In this techy tech world I would have hoped there were some clever phone apps that could monitor my cars location, activation, last known location, feelings, etc.

Let's bring this up again.... Looks like another was snagged- SAME AREA!

 

Hearing the bad news for these 993 owners sucks. Half the battle is the financial loss... Review our insurance policy's for Declared Loss/Value levels; $60K, 70K, etc. . . .

 

There have been multiple thefts of 993s in LA recently. Sounds like more than a coincidence and makes me suspect there is an organized mob/gang behind all of this. A lot more sophisticated than just an individual thief working for kicks.

 

Same thing happened to me early saturday morning in almost the same area. Im sorry.

Add me to the list. 97 C4S. Original owner. Went into dinner and walked out without a ride home! Second car stolen in 4 years. My wife told me (half joking) stop buying such cool cars.......

 

Horrible to hear of additional 993 losses. A product of increasing values. For the curious, mine was never recovered. Took me many months of dealing with insurer before that end was resolved.

 

This sucks. I learnt at an early age (19) how much this hurts when my '70 Chevelle SS was stolen. I hope it turns out better for you than it did for me.
