I guess I'm the only who's pretty happy with what I have right now... Not quite $200K worth but that's OK.

The tally would look like this:

1981 DeLorean - $32,000
Vintage flux capacitor - $148,000 +/-
Garbage for fuel - Free - minimal kilo joules needed for travel to 1975
1967 911R - $4000 (1975 pricing)
1973 911RS LW - $11,000 (1975 pricing)

-and-

1250 shares of Berkshire Hathaway @ $40/sh (1975 pricing)

I'd likely have my 993 completely ground up restored with some some sort of hot engine, and just enjoy it. Spend the rest of the $ on new bikes for the wife and I, and invest the rest.

I like all 3 scenarios.

Or pick up one of these

I'm happy with what I have, but if I did get another car, it would be an XK-E coupe, and if there was money left over, I'd have a Steve Weiner transmission and RS flywheel installed in the 993.

My wife just got an Audi TT, so we now have a sporty car that's more modern than the 993. It's an interesting contrast to my car, and I really like it.

Ferrari 355, hoping the left over balance is enough to keep the 355 running for 5000 miles.

I'd keep everything I have and add a Ferrari 430, a '97 defender 90, and a CPO BMW 535 as a DD.

Well, that's easy for me... I already spent that on my 993. (Not kidding)

I guess I'm already on my way with the RS and the 993, but if I had $200k given to me tomorrow for cars, I'd probably buy an early E-Type convertible for about $100k, a 996 GT3 track rat for $60k and a Cayenne Turbo and a featherlite trailer for the remaining $40k. Done.
