the only thing you can do is slide the seat all the way forward. i'll post a picture later on. meanwhile, can you post a picture of how a booster seat fits in the rear of a 993.
Unfortunately, I only have access to my car on the weekends, so no immediate picture available. My 7 year old son uses the Graco Belst positioning booster for the front seat and it fits fine. My 3 year old has the Century NextStep DX and it is a little on the wide side on the bottom but it fits. She uses the standard rear seat belts. Hope this helps.
Here's an alternative to the GT3 seats. I got them from Gert (in Porsche leather I was told) with the sliders for 993's. Pole Position/RS seats came in the 993RS cars that did not have the comfort option. I feel they are more period specific for our cars than the GT3 seats. The dimensions are real close but the Pole Positions are just a touch wider than the GT3 seats.
I think Anir once posted that his children could manage to get into the back area of his GT3-equipped TT, although I can't recall if he had baby seats to contend with.
None taken at all. I know some people aren't crazy about the modern-looking, alien-head features of the GT3's, but the looks don't bother me at all. I think I first saw your style leather seat when Excellence featured Jack Olsen's awesome 3.6 911 monster. They're fantastic looking buckets.

Putting people in the back seats when you don't have folding front seats is a bad idea (unless you have a convertible.) If the car is upside down it is nearly impossible to push the front seats forward enough to get out which really sucks if your stuck in the back and the car is on fire.

Mark,
I no longer have to contend with baby seats, since Emilie is 4 and Joshua is 6 yo. As you suggested, they can still get back there despite the GT3 seats AND a pair of rear footwell-mounted Rod Birch subwoofer enclosures. Access requires sliding the GT3 seats all the way forward, but the seats can be slid way back once the kids are back there. I'm only 5'10", but am able to place the seat back to its typical position despite the presence of kids (or subs) in the back.
