Default NJ Wheel Refinishing

Didn't really want to post here, but wasn't getting enough feed back from regional forum.

I'm looking for good refinisher to paint or powder coat a set of twist rims in NJ. Any of the locals have any recommendations?

I heard great things about them so I used them once. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with their work. There were imperfections in the paint when the wheels arrived.

Ilko, there are too many horrible places and I found them to be the better of the bunch. They are approx 2 hrs from me so I always drop and pick them. This way I can see things before I accept. But I agree, its not factory quality. Not sure if anyone expect the experts on the west coast can do something worthwhile.

I've been considering having some wheels refinished.

Ilko, have you found another place that you're happy with?

I've also heard nothing but how great Wheel Collision is. There's another place in Fairfield, USA Wheels that's supposed to be cheaper but not as good as Wheel Collision.

Phil from Detailer's domain told me that he's got a guy that wheel refinish a set for $700. I'm sure whoever he uses does great work.

I had a set of MY02s refinished recently that I sold. I dropped them off with Irek at CIM Motorsports (Central Valley, NY) and he has a guy who did a great job and the charge was very reasonable, in the $500 range IIRC.

Also Chao has a contact in Clifton I think. Oliver might know him as well. Didn't use him because I ended up going in a different direction with those wheels but I've heard good things about him. PM either of them and they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Just remembered I know of someone by the Tappan Zee who also does good work. But he might be too far for you. If you want I can try to get his contact info.

His brother fixed a big dent in my wagon to near perfect - they are both very capable people.

Joe in clifton does a nice job. I might use him to touch up my 996 twists but haven't gotten around to it.
