I just picked up a very clean 1995 Porsche C2 from Greg at GT Auto Lounge in Sacramento with 64k on the odometer. Took me about 3 months to find a clean coupe with black interior 993 in clean condition. It is really hard to find clean 993 right now that is not tiptronic or cabriolet. This is my fifth Porsche. I have owned three 996's and a currently have a 991 in my garage.
I will be documenting the build here on Rennlist from stock to Wild. I was going back and forth between Mexico Blue and Riviera Blue and finally decided on BASF Chemicals Riviera Blue. Trying to schedule with Nakai-san to come to the US in March of April for the installation.
Here are a few pictures of her before we cut her up.

It's one thing to disagree on someone's intentions of modding, but the piling on and insulting nature of these comments is really not becoming of this forum. It's hypocritical and ridiculous. Members are quick to pile on when others (mostly non-members) talk smack about anything, but have no problem dishing it themselves when someone's tastes don't suit the group think on RL. It's this clique-ish and elitist attitude that tends to turn people off from RL, including me.
If you don't like something, fine. State your peace, have healthy debate. But do it respectfully. The snarky comments are simply uncalled for.

^^ 100% agreed, protecting 993's gimme a break. Its your money and time cut the damn thing in half if you want. Just because the OP may have different tastes than yours does not make it wrong.

The rest of the story unwinds as so: guy buys Porsche 964 Turbo and has Japanese guy hack out some hideous-looking bodywork, drop that bitch into the weeds, and basically turn what was a very complete and satisfying performance car into a rolling caricature. The car is then taken to SEMA so the tribe of mildly retarded sideways-ballcap mooks who clutter this country’s unemployment lists and convenience-store parking lots can crown Scotto as their king.
LOL
Find a junk yard beast to do the mod. This is about as bad as taking your grandma to the doctor and asking him to make her look like Joan Rivers
I agree that to each his own but when a beautiful example is used (as opposed to salvaging a car that needs help) it's sad to sit and watch it happen.

That would be a shame to cut up a beautiful well sorted 993. This car's value is best left alone to just about anyone else in the market for one. There are plenty of other damaged 993s out there that would serve well as a donor for a modified 993. As a prior poster said, to cut up this car would only further enhance the values of ours

I really don't care what the OP does with his car, it doesn't affect me at all, but I would like to ask why he was looking for a good clean 993? It seems like with the extensive mods he's going to make, it would make more financial sense to look for one that wasn't as nice?
Anyway, good luck with your build.
