It was a German auto show I think, they did a back-to-back lap comparison between a 993 Carrera RS and I think a GT2 or GT3, I don't remember.

Ain't the real thing, but until you're at the pointiest end of driver capability does it matter?

Definitely faux RS, far too quiet inside the cabin when driven hard!

Sometimes you luck out. Most of the time it's just lapping. Though I try to always work on something setup or driver-wise on open test days like those.

Now contrast that with a Spec Miata. Low end, mid week NCRC/ARC race with only 8 of us having a split start from the fast guys. Driving one of these keeps you alert--can't make up for mistakes with power. Started 1 of 8 in the first video, 8 of 8 of the hell of it in the second. Links below. (Hard to believe this was 3.5 years ago!)
