OT: Becker Monza MP3 player
#46
I've also been investigating replacing my CDR-210 with a 220 or something else and have been doing some research. The Monza is available in the U.S. at SW Stereo . European AM radio stations are spaced 9 kHz apart, US AM rado stations are spaced 10 kHz apart. SW Stereo should know what AM channel spacing their Monzas have, I would think.

As I recall, the European FM tuning was in increments of 0.10 and ours is 0.20, so no apparent problem. The European AM tuning , however, is apparently in 0.9 increments which presents sig issues to those needing or desiring AM reception. This I suspect, is not a major issue for those looking to upgrade a sterio.
So is anyone using a Monza (or decided against using one) who would care to share their experience and PICS!
As always, TIA
Jack

Well, I hesitate to give much of an opinion as I've never seen other than a CDR-210 in person. Judging from the pictures at SW Stereo, I think the Monza looks pretty similar to the CDR-220. So, I think the Monza would look good and "Porschey". It would be nice if someone who had one could comment on its sound quality, perfornance, etc.
