V, in the Chris Harris video, he recognised it to be from a 356. If you Google “haargarn' bouclé” there are a few places that supply it.
I fancy getting some black mats made up out of that. I’m not a big fan of fluffy stuff!

Got around to watching the video today. Great car, amazing craftsmanship! Regarding the 964 being the best platform, it is pretty much, along with the 993. As long as they seam weld the tubs. Multi-link rear suspension in the 993 is a little more comfy, but it's not a night and day difference. I'd love to own one of those Singers some day although I'd prefer a more subdued interior.

It just can't be done based on the man-hours invested, R&D, and parts used. SVD has stated numerous times this is more a venture of passion than finances. I don't think the margins are significant on each unit sold.

It's fine to debate whether their pursuit of perfection is necessary (it isn't), but there is no doubt in my mind the cost required to achieve their results is completely warranted. I think it is worth every dollar it sells for and would buy one if I had the means.
These are my thoughts too. And, they even say that they are built irrespective to cost.

The Singer seems to be comparatively priced to the Ferrari 458 Italia. If I had the scratch to spend on a toy of that caliber, I would pick the Singer.... in signal green.

The Chris Harris video does reveal a lot.

The steel body is skeletonized and overlaid with bonded on carbon fiber parts at the roof and rear quarters.

This means the whole car is "ballooned up" by the thickness of carbon fiber.
