Default Headlight won't go... help

Arrived at work this morning and my headlight went off by themselves. Rotated the switch and could get them back on.

Looked for a bad fuse, both were good, tried searching to see if the car has a headlight relay, couldn't find one. Called the dealer and they said my car does not have a relay.

Bad switch?

If it's the switch would I be able to change it out myself?? Assuming the dealer had one in stock. Time is of the essence as I need my car tonight.

Thanks

Two local dealers don't have the switch. Ordered from Sunset.

You may need to go the old fashioned way and use a multimeter to pinpoint the problem. Given the complexity of these systems it could be anywhere. If it is your switch you could easily check the wiring diagram to know that each wire goes to and manually close the circuit with a spare piece of wire just to be sure that it the switch that is malfunctioning.
Better to know than to spend money on your guesses.

Probably not your issue since you had been driving and charging the battery, but my headlights wouldnt turn on after I started my car with a low battery. The car just *barely* turned over and started, and was running for a good 15 minutes until the lights would turn on when I was loading the car on a trailer at night. Since no shop is open, its an easy thing to check yourself maybe. Good luck.
