front hood support struts I

This is very annoying. I keep replacing them, and within a year or so, they no longer hold

Gert has these

Anybody ever try them? Do they last longer? Thanks

Those are just overpriced OEM shocks, I would try the cheaper and better Uro aftermarket versions;
