Rear Seat Delete - Anyone fabricate a facsimile?

^^^ Yep I agree with Kika
I'd be interested in one as well. Would love to have a complete kit with doors, etc.
If you can get group buy and approximate a total cost, let me know. Price dependent, I'm in.

How important are doors?
The doors are curved. So if people wanted OE style doors, the front panel would be curved, and would probably preclude it being made from a sheet of plywood.

I would like doors. They don't necessarily need to be on the front, in fact I would like to be able to put a small duffle /gym bag in if possible, and or a laptop bag. It doesn't need to lock, although folks with cabs would probably like that as an option, my primary objective would be to put things inside, so they aren't visible.
In fact, if it were a little taller than the template above, that would suit my needs better, maybe 8-9 inches tall, so maybe if there were 2 options available.
I would say somewhere in the <$150 range would prompt me to buy, otherwise, I am pretty handy with wood myself and could fabricate something on my own.

The hardest part is having the CAD file with the overall dimensions. With that, anyone can take the file to a local shop and have the panels made in whatever material they choose, including modifying the plans for doors or anything else you want.
Great job on getting the ball rolling on the base CAD drawing, Vince. Next step is for someone to take the plan, cut some panels and stitch it all together to verify fit. This is the QC part that needs to be done. Assuming the dimensions check out, ideally we can open-source the file and let everybody have at it. Trying to organize a group buy on panels (a la an Ikea kit) is over-complicating things, IMO. If we can just get to a finalized CAD file/plan, we are golden.

Doors is going to dramatically change the cost structure. More labor, hardware, etc. I've seen simple versions where the front is solid and the top hinges to reveal the 2 wells below. That might be a cost effective variant. 2 Versions - one that's just solid top and fronts, and one that's solid front and hinged top. Clean look on both.
Please do get a price from the CNC guy and see if there are 2 versions possible. Then people can decide for themselves. But having researched this for 2+ years, to try to "copy" the OEM one is going to cost a mint.

Update. I have E3Photo's RSD which is a 951 RSD modded to fit the 993. I have a CAD model of the RSD without doors as that is probably how most would want them. Here is a drawing of the assembly. I will be verifying all the dimensions, but it will likely take someone to build one to be assured of all the dimensions.

Haven't checked in for quite awhile,......excited about the progress on this.
Love the "Ikea" box of panels to be assembled and finished idea. Put me on the definitely interested list. Don't care about or want front doors or openings. Hinged top would be great for me.
Thanks to everybody for their community effort on this one.
