To rule out that belt sensor, take it off and then start the car. Or "Carefully" disengage it from the belt NOT with a finger. See what happens. First method is safer, but much slower. If nothing changes, it's your fan bearing.
I just use a zap-strap to hold it open. Saves fingers and tools dropping into the hole.
