You caught up to us in Klostertal...goes to show that 1. The big *** wing is slowing me down on the long "straights" and 2. I needs more horsepower, especially in the uphill sections.
Looking at the video again, this must be one of the first laps on Saturday Morning? We were on the skinny federals. Later that day I put on the fat Kumho tires and what a difference! =)
Is your engine stock? If it is, that wing is really slowing me down...you are catching up to me like there's a 100hp difference.

My car has been parked at Teichmann racing since 2012. I had the 4S first but swapped it with the C2 which is more rigged for track.
I am there from 24.10 to 26.10. Do you know the "boxen" number for your team?
I saw you giving the thumbs up. Knew it could not be the driving. Made a few driver errors from carousel and towards the end. This was my third lap, around 09:00.
I backed off the gas at Kesselchen. (Had to check out this "new" 993 ) Topspeed before the left at klostertal is around 210kph with my car.
Car has got GIAC chip, LWF and I *think* it has RS cams (I don't trust the previous owner). Motec M800 is mounted but not mapped yet.

I'll let you know my boxen number when I get it. Please come visit us!
I may come there also on 10-11.10. There will be a lot of Finnish Porsches there that weekend.

I'm just booking flights and I think I'll fly in on Saturday and back on Monday.
I'll let you know my boxen number when I get it. Please come visit us!
That'd be way cool! My 993 will most likely stay at the ring the entire next season. So a weekend getaway is easy to arrange.

A little (very little) progress here too. The oil lines are installed, the bottom panelling supports made and the fuel lines are ready. She's in a good company too...
This build should pick up some speed soon. stay tuned.
Two lines paraller to two fuel filters, then through a Y-piece into a AN-08 aluminium line:
Through the firewall into the shifter tunnel:

I've been going back and forth with the brakes and finally made the decision. There was a 991 GT3 CUP next to my GT2 and I looked at its brakes, looked at my car and thought...hmmm...that'll work!
I had offers for custom Alcon setups etc. but really the 991 CUP brakes are bang for the buck. Granted I need to have custom hats made and brackets for the calipers, but discs and pads are cheap and readily available for years to come.
The 991 CUP brakes are btw proper racing brakes, unlike on the earlier CUPs that had basically street brakes with racing discs and pads.
The Racing ABS is from Teves.

Looking good Juha...
I assume the setrab next to the steering rack is for transmission cooling?
Any more information on the Teves?
Re the Brakes, they look like Performance Friction products, is that correct? What is the thickness of the pad material for these, are the an endurance type thickness?

The cooler is indeed for transmission. I have a scoop on the bottom panelling that channels air into the shifter tunnel and the cooler is situated right at that opening.
Performance friction makes the brakes for the 991 CUPs. I don't remember the thickness but they are endurance pads. My shop told me they ran almost a full season with one set of pads...crazy!
I'll PM you about the Teves setup.

Hi Juha,
my car is also getting the Hahn parts. Actually Hans did them first time on my car in `99 for Wieth ;-)
My car was driven in the german Sports Cup in ´08 and the owner has cut the GT2 arches because they had to be ´98 spec. Therfore it had to get new parts.
I use the 997Cup brake and it works perfect. PFC parts look and work also great, though.
I really love your project
