I dont track at all, but it seems like hes just trying a little too hard to go fast. Are those cars that passed him just that much quicker or is he scrubbing too much speed with his sideways maneuvers? I was guessing the latter.

That car seems to accelerate brutally fast. However, it's almost as if that driver has never had ANY training to drive on a circuit at all. I don't think he's even he'll and toe downshifting. Look at how much more smoothly the other cars are being driven. No wonder they are running away.
I think it's what happens when someone has more money than talent, and doesn't know it. I'd be embarrassed if that was me driving in that vid.
