it does seem to have a special S on the engine cover.

I don't know. Complete color change from blue to silver would concern me.

Saw it as well. It tells you how strong the market is because while it is a 1998 2S its one with a complete color change (albeit to a cool color) which is typically a death knell for values on any P-car and has an accident reported in its history. Just goes to show the market is crazy hot right now!

Beautiful but the color change would prevent me from buying.

no doubt a cool color...what I find interesting is the viper green c2 993 that sold relatively quick on rennlist a few months...cool colors seem to sell as long as all else is well. car looked nice and straight well except for the S on the engine lid

A bad decision on the color change. What's with the misinformed, misaligned 'S'?!!

And for a reason. Who repaints to silver? There's not enough silver/grey Porsches around?

Good paint job or not, this greatly narrows the buying pool and lowers the value for an air cooled 911. Someone has to be pretty upside down in this car.

Not to mention, almost every other 996 was painted in seal grey.

It's not like a 9M job, where a tired old C2 is rebuilt to a higher standard and comes away pretty much a new car/total transformation.

Ocean Blue is a super desirable color on an "S" - What the heck???
