Reverse mount BBS LM for NB 993?
Decided to go with some BBS LM's for my NB 993 , unfortunately a 16 week wait, but oh well.. just in time for spring.
Sizes are 18x8.5 +56 for the front and 18x10 +65 for the rear. Tires are going to be Michelin PS2 225/40 and 265/35. Car will be lowered to +5mm or +10mm of RS height
I am interested in reverse mounting them which I am not sure this is possible to do on a NB in these sizes. How much does reverse mounting lower the offset? Will it fit OK without any rubbing or fender mods?
Thanks

hmm, I was always under the impression that it brought out the wheel by 1/2" ~12mm. Maybe it is dependent on the wheel itself? When I flipped the faces on my 18" LMs on the NSX it measure out to be 12-13mm.

I was going to reverse mine but it was a bit iffy for my comfort level. In the end, I am happy with the standard mount. I, to the dismay of many, leave my center caps off. To me this gives the wheel an edgier look and discounts the mild offset of the standard mount (vs. reverse). Here are a couple of picts.

Andy, what is the paint code you used for your LM?
If I had 10" I would definitely reverse mount. Unfortunately reverse mounting on my 11" would just make them way too aggressive.

I have a set of 8X18 and 10X18 BBS LMs. I also reverse mounted the centers after refinishing the wheels and unfortunately, it will not work in the back and is too close to call in the front. It is too aggressive of an offset after reverse mounting and rubs running 265s. I was going to roll my fenders for some clearance but even then, it would be tight. Too much monkeying around required to fit reverse-mounted LMs on a NB car, IMO. I went back to the normal mounting. Just my .02.

Washabi that is one sweet NSX!!
The reverse mounts look just spectacular on LMs!! Unfortunately it will not work and I would say def say even less chance with 8.5s.
I didn't measure mine, however my friend measured his reverse mount and it was a 12mm reduction in offset.
At RS height, you can see my 8s in the fronts are right on the limit after a reverse mount.
