Looks like it was a winter driven vehicle. But alas still has life in it.
First thing to do is take the tub and strip it. Front fenders and door removed. Bring the whole thing down to the metal and start fresh.
A full cage car with no heat and a sunroof sounds like a young persons first time project.
Will be interesting to see how the car ends up.

Yeah, we've got it good. But I've done cars back in the Olden Days that lived on the coast for 10-12 years, and have had to deal with corrosion issues.
I was thinking Hawaii.

So, here we go with the Mission Creep.
One of the requirements for the job was to check the alignment of the chassis because it was suspected that the corrosion on the rear chassis leg was due to a prior accident repair, hence we removed all the suspension and set it up on the Celette brackets. So far so good. However, do you recall that I mentioned a problem with the door locks? Well, turns out that it was not the locks that were at fault.

The problem was caused by distortion of the upper body following the welding in of the cage.
The fix was relatively easy: with the shell safely supported by the jig we cut through the welds from the cage to the body, pulled the body back into alignment and re-welded the cage to the body. It's an easy lesson for anyone contemplating a similar build that you should always jig the shell to keep it straight and use cold welding techniques to ensure the minimum of distortion whilst welding in a full roll cage.

That's going to be one schizophrenic car
a full Cup type cage that will make ingress/egress a very difficult process for anyone of an age
sunroof
heat delete is a road car
I never use a sunroof or AC but heat is a necessity even for a track car, I had the heat and defrost going 3/4 days last week at WGI

You're preaching to the converted Bill, I deleted the heat from my 993RS when I fitted the header set and although I appreciated the weight saving I also paid a price on cold morning test sessions. I suppose the worst case scenario if the customer finds it too cold is to refit one of the heater tubes into the sills and fit a manual valve to the front to control the flow of heat from the left side heat exchanger. We're planning to fit a heater front screen for the demist, an essential requirement in the UK, I'm afraid to say.
