That's one motley crew.

Danny, thank you for taking the time to organize all that. Hope you poured yourself a nice scotch after that exercise.

Danny,

The "Team Roaster"... is that the guy that runs the BBQ? We need one of them!

I wonder if he and the ship's capatain would allow Kart racing on the decks? Of course we wouldn't go very fast. Would be a great place to gather next winter.

We've already had a number of dry land gatherings. Road America, Putnam, Gingerman in the last two months.

Danny and Robert are talking about coming up in Sept for the 2nd Putnam Club Race.

We also will have the HWFM Racing banner flying for a gathering on Saturday of the Indy F-1 weekend to see the SuperCup race and laugh a lot. This was a big success last year, under a different moniker.

A number of racers are coming in for the Labor Day weekend races at Road America.

We will be up early on Thursday to set up the biggest Turtle Pond yet.

and Danny has done a great job maintaining the ever-expanding roster.

Danny

I noticed on a previous thread Stedge wanted wearables. He said he's not a member but a big supporter. We don't have a Team Supporter yet, so we should include him.

We might have a little problem with having the moonshine at a BBQ. The MS fumes are extremely volatile. The whole place could EXPLODE! Two separate locations would probably work as long as you didn't breathe around the fire after drinking. But since one of the side effects is blindness from drinking the Shine you wouldn't know how close you were to the fire. This is going to have to be a group effort to coordinate the two activities! Any suggestions? After all, I'm just the supplier!

Robert

Simple solution: we cut the white lightning with beer.

Either that or we wear our nomex while imbibing.

Make sure you load up the Cayenne real good. One of our mottos is "The team parties end when the drivers meeting begins."

Anybody remember the goofy guys that tried to see how fast they could get a BBQ started? They recorded all the attempts and posted it on the web. Every year, it got more and more insane, with the final entry being some liquid oxgen sprayed on the flame. The explosion was magnificient, and no one was seriously injured. I think one of these guys might want to be the "Team Roaster". Can anybody find a link to that old web site (must be 4 or 5 years old by now). Truely in the HWFM Racng spirit!

Rick

I'm sure that's not intentional on Danny's part. I've also welcomed people to the team, and then not followed up with Danny. Plus this requires reams of paperwork rivaling the IRS. Sorry for the mix-up.

Has anyone else been left off the roster?

Justin Wilson.

I think we should send couple "Hey, Wait for me!" stickers for him to stick to his Minardi.

I did a google search with "bbq liquid oxygen" and came up with that old web site:

http://home.att.net/~purduejacksonville/grill.html

This site has a link to the really great photos, which in the interest of preventing morons from trying this at home, has been removed.

Makes a HWFMR team member proud....
