Not available anymore from Porsche.,there is one selling on E-Bay right now, for $331.00, or you can use a fan from a 964 model too, a beat up ccu might be laying around someplace with a fan that can be used, and save op some casheroles,Cheers.

Ok, thats a good offer from you. Only problem now is winter is here and I have to move the car to the place I store it during the winter, and I can´t do anyting with it for the next 6 month.

I´m going to store it within 2 days..

I would be more than happy if you told me how to do it (use PM if you like)

Pulled it out a few weeks ago and cleaned the whole thing and the parts around it. Wow it was dirty..

First day was promising with no noise, but then after a while is screaming more than ever..

Regards The Swede

Does anyone have any good DIY's on how to pull this puppy out of there, or how to create the tool to pull the CCU out?

I used a set of radio pullers from Crutchfield I had from a few years ago. I was told it is possible to use the heads of finish nails... sounded difficult.
My 1 big tip - use easy lift painters tape, and protect the vinyl dash pad under the ccu. The ccu or a tool slip could damage that area.

I was able to pull mine just by using 2 butter knifes on the sides. Otherwise, they say you can use a coat hanger in the 2 holes each side of the CCU instead of radio tools.

Here's an extract of PP site :

Insert the DIN removal tools into the slots on the side of the CCU. Push them in so you feel/hear a click. Then pull out the CCU. You may need to push the CCU out from the back, becuase the DIN removal tools do not always catch postively enough to pull out the CCU from the front. You can use the big end of a screwdriver if your fingers can't reach.

You can also use 4 small nails or two pieces of coat hanger wire. Either way, DO NOT PULL THE CCU OUT USING THE *****. You run the risk of damaging your CCU. CCU's cost about $1000 to replace.

Pull the CCU part way out, you may need to move the steering wheel stalks a bit to get clearence.

You will see two cable connectors on the back. These connectors have a spring loaded clasp on one side. You will need to depress the spring loaded clasp and then gently work out the connector. The side of the connector with the spring loaded clasp needs to come out first! The connector will not come "straight" out. When you get one connector out, you'll understand what I mean.

The DIY is in the diy section. For the tool, you could insert 4 x large rivets , you would be fine.
