Clutch, LWF and all associated hardware (gear ring, pressure plate main seal etc.....
F&R brake pads (Textar)
SS brake lines (FDM group buy)
ATE 200 Gold Brake Fluid
F&R Rotors (OEM Porsche)
Spoiler Wall
Belts (Porsche OEM)
Belt Sensor (for some strange reason, mine was missing)
DME Relay
SAI Check Valve
The slope started when I was at MGIANZERO's house installing the Golden Rod, Marc, C4SJohn and LuckyJ were there, heard a strange hissing noise from the right side of my engine compartment so Marc read the codes and started looking at things a bit closer.
Sounds like the Smog Pump has a leaking hose for one, then one of the belts looks like it has a little fraying: (Changed at 77K, and I have 96K now, so a bit under the 30K interval, but probably not a terrible idea to go ahead and change them and add back the belt sensor that is mysteriously missing from my car.
I don't believe my check valve has been replaced, and I know it hasn't been since I have owned the car (2007).
I have know for some time that my rotors are getting down there and I have a sticky clutch and the new lines from the FDM group buy, so might as well flush the whole system. Gonna refresh the calipers in red at the same time.
The AC is not blowing cold, so I had it recharged, and 4 days later, it is no longer blowing cold, so I definitely have a leak somewhere. (Evaporator?)
One of the codes Marc read was P0300, random misfire, and it showed an RPM of over 10,000. (?) I have suspected my DMFW was failing, as well as the clutch, and this confirmed it. JohnC4S hooked me up with the parts to do a LWF conversion, that I couldn't pass up.
My spoiler wall has gorilla tape on it now, which works fine, but since I was ordering a bunch of parts from Sunset, I had Andraya toss in a spoiler wall.
C4SJohn suggested that I also change out the clutch hose since the transmission has to come out for the LWF anyways, so called Andraya again and had her toss one of those in the box.
So right now the list is:
- Fix leak in AC, TBD what is leaking
- Replace pads, rotors and brake lines, flush brakes
- repaint calipers
- R&R SAI Check Valve
- R&R spoiler wall
- R&R DME relay
- LWF
- R&R Belts (AC & both Alternator)
- Install Belt Sensor
- Check Smog Pump Hoses
I know some of these items I could DIY, but some are way out of my league, and at this point, I don't want to nickel and dime the mechanic, so for my own piece of mind, it is just quite a bit easier to have him do everything.
This year will definitely be the highest cost output year for the car since I have owned her, but, I plan on keeping her, so it is worth it to me to have everything done right.
