In the LA area, most of the people I see DRIVING their 993s are women, vs. the more male-centric group who pull the car out of the garage on sunday, drive to Cars & Coffee, hit the car with quick detailer and a microfiber, and then drive it back home and stick it in the garage again.
IMHO I think overall, when it comes to compartmentalizing different things in their life, women are better at focusing on getting enjoyment out of using an item, rather than trying to preserve it as much as possible.

The few Porsches I see with women driving tend to be Boxsters and Cayennes, and occasionally Panamericas.
What part of LA are you in?

My wife enjoys driving our 993 also. I love watching her pull up, drive past focused on what she is doing. The 993 looks like a little black dress when she drives.

I rarely see women driving 993s at least in the South Bay, the ones driving sporty cars seem to prefer the 1 and 3 series Bimmers and CLK, SLK and SL Benzs.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. WHEN I SEE A 993 on the street, it is usually a woman behind the wheel, not necessarily women driving 993s over other Porsche models or marques. I will say that they are typically Carreras, but I've seen a few in Turbos as well.

I bought my C4S from my then girlfriend. She was smokin' hot, and even hotter when she'd step on the loud pedal in her high heels and make that flat-six sing ![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
I was hooked. On her and the car. Unfortunately, I could only afford one of them. Sorry, Kimberly. But thanks for selling me the 993

My spouse, Kelly, liked my 89 Targa so much she decided she needed her own! 96 993 Targa, her daily driver. Even if it's 100f outside, she has the roof open, with miles of smiles!

I live in LA and rarely see women driving air cooled 911s. There is one woman that I've seen on the 90 freeway a couple of times in a turquoise 993. I've tried to make eye contact with her when in my 993 but to no avail haha

I always sit up and take note when I see a woman driving a 911, and there are plenty in San Diego. Granted, there are more driving Boxsters, "Caymen," and whatever the SUV is called ...
