nine9six,

Pungent and getting stronger. I'm still tempted, though. When my money from Nigeria arrives, I just may buy some cars from them.

BTW, are those SSR wheels on your avatar car? If so, keep a lookout for cracks and popped bolts. Great looking wheels, but they do have some safety issues...

Crap, I hope they will process a refund. I wired them funds from my Nigerian account to pay for the 1967 Barracuda that was so lovingly built by Mr. Mike Godby. RIP, Mike.

Thanks, sigf. They may be hanging around a coffee shop with good wifi. I'll be interested to hear what you find.

You wont get much of a 356 for that kind of money. Be prepared to add about 30k to make it nice assuming you can also do a lot of the work yourself.

Hi Aktung,

Yeah, that's pretty much what we thought--just trying to smoke out these miserable scammers, and draw attention to them so nobody gets stung.

Udpate: I visited the building today that was listed as C Breitner Auto's address (100 Fifth St Tower). It is a high buck location and I learned from security that the building's tenet roster did not list a C Breitner. Security then suggested that I go to 19th floor to check with receptionist there because that floor housed numerous small offices which might not be listed on the primary tenent roster. I did, and the receptionist there told me that C Breitner did in fact exist because they just "moved in". However, they moved-in on a "virtual basis". The receptionist confirmed there was no physical office space for the company other than a mail drop box. You can draw your own conclusions.

Nice detective work there, Sigf. Of course, those C Breitner scammers are certainly monitoring this thread, based on the speed of that phoney endorsement which popped up moments after the original post.

The 356 in question does not exist. The ad is a method to relieve an unwary buyer of hard-earned cash.

How can we get it so that if someone googles these asshats the first hit is that they are a complete fraud and scammer.

I think we're already doing it. A search for "C Breitner Autos" currently brings up this thread. Might be helpful to mention "C Breitner Autos" in every post in this thread, as well as to provide some Yelp reviews.
