Thumbs up Woohoo $107 Bosch fuel pump

Just installed my new fuel pump I got from Amazon. Same part number as the one I took off...580 464 058.. The part number on the box is 69468. I guess it is a new number that Bosch is using?? Sweet deal I guess.
Also just did the rear spoiler trans bearing job too. I think that was $15 from Boca Bearing for a sealed unit thanks to the R.C. Hobby guys.
Also disassemble the front left blend door servo assy. No whiskers, cleaned lubed gears. Needed to give a little assistance to allow heat through at first, now works great. I have seen sensor carbon tracks that were worn before on other components, but these looked great. This is a local Brumos Porsche car. Actually sold twice by them. I suspect previous owner rarely used any type of heat.
So far I have saved over 800 bucks due to this site..
THANKS TO ALL!
Curt

You may have saved $800 but I bet Rennlist inspired mods will cost you a bit more.

I know what you mean. Seriously, I don't think I could have my 993 without this forum. It's saved me so much over the years and provided help when I needed it, I almost feel its a requirement when owning one of these vehicles.

installed mine. Its a little bit bigger than the stock one and didn't allow the insulation wrap to fit into the rubber housing. Little noisy but i have no sound deadening either.

Thats interesting... The part number stamped into the actual pump was identical on mine... Identical dimensions and way quieter than what I took out.
Curt
Maybe mine had been replaced before?? Who knows?

I wonder if just by us pulling it up and searching on Amazon if they don't track the trend and increase price?
I once drove the price up on a transmission for my truck here in town by calling multiple places. Did not know they were all calling the same supplier.

Great, now it's $187. A whopping $1.51 off list.

The Amazon Bosch pump you just installed died??
Any possibility it's a Chinese knock-off?
