The seller told me he thought the quarter glass fit into stock frames. Nope. So time to do some cutting. Never had any luck cutting plexiglass so i was pretty nervous not wanting to destroy $350 pieces of plastic haha

Slow going

Wanted to make sure duct was centered

Bingo

Got the bay in high build

Painted it black, then started with the reflective heat foil

Fiberglass fenders are nice and light but notorious for fitting like ****. This passenger side never sat flush with door because the bracket pulled it in to tight so I cut it apart, spaced it with the wedges and redid the fiberglass

And glued down some thin foam as it seems most complaints of the lightweight carpet kit is you can see all the dips and dives

Got a bunch of rennline goodies coming so should have motor back in this week and start on interior.

Awesome Ride! I have a buddy that does this same thing but different builds & different cars & it seems like USUALLY a month or two after the build, he sells it & does it ALL over again! TO ME it seems like he has MORE Fun tinkering & building them than he does actually driving them! Hence, WHY he usually Sells them ! I'm sure your wife is probably a lil' more Understanding than his though (that may be Why he's always out in the garage)! Can't wait to see the Paint Job!

Haha I've kind've did that myself. When I did a 6 speed swap in an audi 4.2 v8 I said I'd never sell it but down the road it went. I can say almost with certainty that I will not sell this one. I loved it at 300hp, I can only imagine what 500 will be like. I'm also very lucky that my lady loves European cars as much as I do if not more so garage time is no issue haha

Ok back to the build, anyone know where these pieces go in the rs carpet kit? I'm stumped. I know where I'm missing carpet but they don't seem to fit there.
