awful lot of visable movement in fender clip...looks like it's hanging on by a thread, if not completely broken inside. The only difference in sound I hear, is a deadening because of whatever gunk they liberally applied.
Clean off that gunk, and try to see what's underneath. A shop local to me, charged me $200, they had to grind off the other crappy "repair" that a highly reccomended Pcar shop did, then weld and touch up. It is a damn near perfect job...you can certainly still tell it has been fixed, but very nice.
I assume you didn't pay this guy cash, or did you? If either by check or CC, you can cancel payment. What you paid an insane amount for, is nothing short of a hack job.
Good luck

Ya all it is is a damping sound. And the rubber piece moves around a lot. I feel like it would come out eventually too. Ya i will try to fight this! I did pay by credit card $363.29 for this job. Hopefully some good happens on monday, if not I will call the credit card company, not sure what they can do. I do have the invoice. And yes it is probably broken inside.
I wish the business would read all this, and have a response to their job.

Even if was repaired from the outside, it should like like this - very clean and professional, not like above. Rubber will not solve the problem, the pin pivot needs to be attached to the car securely.

Ya I remember your picture from before, and it looks so clean and well done. I'll print this entire forum out so they can see the response from the community. They are such nice people too, but after I walked out and looked at the job, I just didn't see 350 dollars.
The solution he recommended to me after the job, I don't understand why he didn't do that in the first place for the same 350 I already spent.
I am jealous of your fix.....

I'm the one who recommended Chilly Performance. Viper bob actually recommended them to me for some stuff when he was in between shops. I had my clutch re-done there after I screwed it up and they were great.
I'm a little perplexed by this though. I suggest you go back and talk to Kenny directly. Show him this thread if you think it might help. I've got to believe that he will make it right.

Wow, sorry to hear this. As another data point, here is what mine looks like. The dealer here did it for $85 back in 2006. Yes, $85. My invoice notes, "Replace door pin -welded upper and lower joint and repainted ** door check strap/pin modified for longer [edit:lower?] resistance."

Unbelievable. As I said in your prior post.... Fix it right the first time (cut out and boxed).
I went from this:
To this for $350:

There should be no movement after the fix is done. This is how both sides of mine look. He made the repair super strong by making sure he could weld completely around the entire strap. Not sure what it cost because it was done with some other painting issues, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't more than $200 per side. Looks like it came from the factory that way.
