Default My new wing!

Hi,

I just installed my new wing. Thanks to Martin for the wing! And thanks to P-car.com for the DIY.

I love the look with the wing. But it was raining today and realised the rain was passing throw the grill on the top and there was water on the engine shroud, fan and blower. Is this normal? If not what do you think could be the solution?

Thanks!

Patrick

Congrats Patrick! Very nice wing, I like the two tone color it's nicely coordinated with the black rag top.

I like the RS tail on the NB cars - and do not think the cars look right with a double stacked wing, but its all personal taste anyways....

You will get a bit of water on the engine regardless, there is an open grill on all the cars - so no worries unless that wing is funnelling water into the engine compartment.

Cheers,

Mike

If you OP likes it that's all that matters.

I would at least get the matching Aerokit front splitters.

Set for sale here.

If those are sold I know Opo just removed some from his car, maybe he would be willing to sell them.

Looks great - I'm another "wing on a cab" fan!
If you have not done so already, order the longer air intake - with a wing, you will see an improvement on cooling. (And there is the long standing debate - I think "proven" by Robin Sun - if performance is improved with cooler air as well.)

Default So pleased...

...that I have just a little part in making Quebec look just a little better. Love the look on the Cabriolet, your Cabriolet.

The "order the longer air intake" referred to above is the air intake off the 993 Turbo aka the snorkel. It simply replaces what you have now. If you have the motor-sound package you'll need to seal up the multitude of holes

Water on the engine? No any more so than a stock tail; the Aerokit 1B tail uses the 993 stock air intake girl.

The LED array along the trailing edge of the wing will certainly alert following drivers that you are on the brakes.

Thanks for the purchase.
