What's the best way to remove the stone guard stickers?

Depending how bad your stone guards are will depend how much steam and adhesive will be left over. Mine were shot! If they aren’t too bad they will peel off with steam easily. It will be obvious when you start the process. Mine were a pain in the ***!

My first 993 was a nightmare. I put halogen lamps next to it to heat it up until the point it was smoking and still took hours with a credit card.

I just removed them on my C4S (with half the miles if that matters) and they came off with no heat and left little residue. They were yellowed so not new but maybe replaced at some point in the past.

Pretty much exactly what I did, several years ago now.


Lots of careful scraping with a plastic razor.

A good way - having done this on three of my cars - is use a inexpensive portable steamer and carefully work your way. It will not harm the paint.
