TPC Racing: Introducing the new 993 JRZ RS1 Single Adjustable Damper System
TPC Racing and JRZ Suspension Engineering are proud to introduce the RS1 Single Adjustable Damper System for the 993 using their new valving technology, a revolutionary development in multipurpose high performance damping. Applying our race winning technology; we designed the RS1 to give ultimate comfort for public roads and precise chassis control when driving on track. The RS1 is a high gas pressure, single adjustable monotube damper; the canister has been designed inside of the damper. JRZ inner canister technology gives the advantages of monotube canister dampers without the mounting concerns and complexity. Easy to install, the RS1 is available as a complete kit with mounting hardware and springs for all applications we support.
Features of the RS1 damper include:
-22mm/16mm rod
-High gas pressure
-Piston designed for silent operation
-Single, precise adjustment
-Inner canister
-Large adjustment range
-Top mounting plate with Front Camber & Caster adjustments (certain applications)
Built on the same production line and sharing components with our professional racing applications; the JRZ RS1 is of true professional heritage, made for everyone. Following JRZ’s design philosophy, the RS1 has a large 22mm diameter piston rod in strut applications and a 16mm piston rod in aluminum damper applications. The large piston rod magnifies the high pressure gas charge which means great chassis control without using a high spring rate or increasing harshness. Utilizing monotube design with a high flow piston ensures the smoothest possible ride in normal conditions while the bleed adjustment gives the ability to tune for racing situations. Unlike many other single adjustable suspensions, damping balance is carefully maintained between compression and rebound. This damping balance is critical to maintaining tire contact with the road in addition to controlling the main mass of the vehicle. To satisfy the diverse needs of each driver’s application, the JRZ RS1 has an extra large adjustment range. With a few clicks you can turn your smooth street car into a crisp, rock solid track machine in seconds.
Benefits of the RS1 system:
-Easy to use and bolt-in
-Street ride, racing performance
-Extra long product life
-One adjustment for complete control of ride and handling
-Professional racing quality
JRZ has designed the RS1 to give the end user the best possible damper to drive daily, while maintaining the racetrack performance that wins championships. The JRZ RS1 is shipped as a bolt on kit and always comes with the personal support JRZ is known for. Using the best materials, coatings, and aerospace standard manufacturing processes as in our motorsport line; the JRZ RS1 is designed to perform flawlessly. Adjustment is easy to perform and comes with the knowledge base only JRZ provides to its customers.

These RS1's have been out a few years now. Does anyone have these in there 993 ?
Interested in some feedback. Lots of competition (Moton/MCS/Ohlin) in the high end suspension offerings; how do these rate ?

looks nice, you appear to have it all or most of the the buttons in good way
Do the mono-***** have seals? not a deal breaker but it is a nice touch that the oe's have, I like the front camber plate design and the single spring implementation.
Any chance of posting the damping curves?

I received my set of JRZ shocks yesterday. They really look great.
I did a weight comparison (bathroom scale) of the OEM (1996 C2) v.s. the new shocks.
OEM Front Shocks weigh 18.5 lbs, Rear Shocks weigh 15.0 lbs
JRZ Front Shocks weigh 13.5 lbs, Rear Shocks weigh 9.0 lbs
Total weight diff for the complete set is 22 lbs. Though this is not unsprung weight, it is still total car weight. Helps to offset the weight of the roll bar!!!
Tom Chan at TPC is The Man!!!! His knowledge has been a great help in getting the right set up for me.
A Happy Customer!!!!

I was just curious. I'm very happy with my KW's it was more for others. I have had JRZ's on several racecars over the years and was very happy with them. Typically a really good product and I'm sure these are the same.

I do not get all this avoidance of listing pricing for comparisons - at least what is the current full-list price. The PSS-10's seem to float around $2700 a set, KW Variant 3's around $2900-$3000, so how much are these roughly?
Cheers,
Mike

I'm curious about the price too, but I'm not in the market for them right now so I'm not going to bother emailing them. I can say that when I don't see a price listed, I automatically assume that it's too high. However, if the price is in line with other similar options, it shouldn't hurt to post it. My 2¢.
