Sweet 993 RS, 959 with exclusive options
Part of a private collection. Awesome 993 RS registered with IL plates. I've seen a few 959's before but I've never seen one with leather vents, exclusive steering wheel, and even leather faced gauges in addition to leather wrapped surround on the gauges. Basically everything is leather wrapped, like the Turbo S. Reminded me of the exclusive 959's built for Saudi Royalty in the 25 years of Porsche exclusive exhibit. A Stellar collection of 993's and other Porsches, all pristine, low mileage and registered for road use. Some other pictures included of other 993's at the event.

Great pics thanks for sharing, where was that event.
Do you know "what' blue the 993 turbo was?
Can't imagine seeing a 959, RS and turbo S at the same place. Triple WOW

This was an extremely well attended and most interesting event coordinated by PCA Chicago region at the Weathertech HQ in Bolingbrook, Il yesterday. Dave MacNeil of WT 's personal collection of low mileage, "last of-s", limited editions, etc, etc. Included tours of
Wt's manufacturing facilities (reminded me of the sage advice spoken in "The Graduate"--I.e. "PLASTICS".). Maybe in my next lifetime.......

Cool. Interesting about the 959. And unless it was one of the late last few 959's built in the 90's, then it was built before the super-leather cabriolet recently written up.
Take care,

The statement "All 993 RS are LHD..." is incorrect. As Clubsport1 had mentioned, Porsche also built 993 RS in RHD, but the number was much fewer than LHD, therefore, making it more rare.
I've seen three factory 993 RS in HK and are all RHD. And one of them has less 10k original miles.

Incorrect, this is an exclusive option wheel, not related to federalization. Sorry i'm a bit of a freak on exclusive options. Here's an image from the Saudi 959. You can't see from my photos but here you can see the detail of the exclusive leather details. A shame that whoever ordered the 959 that MacNeil currently owns couldn't have been more creative with coloring or contrasting of the leather options instead settling with a uniform gray motif. According to the Porsche museum, the Saudi 959 was the only vehicle in Porsche history that did not use the Porsche crest on the hood, wheel caps, steering wheel and gearshift, instead using a custom logo from the Saudi Royal Family. Board approval was required at the time, and this will almost certainly never happen again.
