Default Installed steel lug nuts, stud too short?

Last night I installed steel lugs (N-020-112-1-M58) for a future track event. After installing, I'm concerned with how short the stud is after installing, see pic:

I'm not running spacers and the wheel is an OEM Carrera III. I believe I have the correct "ball seat" steel lug nuts. I'm concerned about the length of the stud after installation. Should there be more stud showing (longer stud)?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

Cheers,

Assuming that you have the correct seat, seeing any threads of the stud on the new nuts is fine. As any threads after the nut ate not doing any work

For mechanical applications, 1.5 thread protrusion beyond the fastener is required/desired. This assures full fastener engagement plus saftey margin.

PCA Scruts will require that the stud is flush with the nut as a minimum. You may sleep well tonight.

Thanks for all the comments!

I've seen other examples where the stud protruded 10-20mm whereas mine were just past flush with 1-2mm. I just wanted to confirm this will pass the tech inspection as well!

I'll check the torque after a spirited drive to confirm.

Thanks!

Anything beyond flush is extra weight

If I don't lose them, I'm not driving hard enough!
