Just a little reminder to you newer guys - this recall campaign was brought on at least in part by Rennlist pressure on PNA.

+1. E. J. aka "E. J. - 993 Alumni" spearheaded the recall. Amazing work.

I found the updated TSB that showed the harness manufacturing date.
Checked with local dealer, they looked and said the car had gone in for the recall but it wasn't done due to the wiring harness mfg after 01/05/96 so I'm good.

Of course lifting the hood showed me the torn fan shroud so I ordered the replacement. That for a 95 should be an easy replacement for the less mechanically inclined (me).

Apologies for bumping a 5 year old thread, but does anyone know if this recall is still happening or has there been push-back/refusal from dealers/PCNA?

I can call a buddy of mine that is a factory tech , actually he did both of my '96 TT's at the North Arlington dealer in NOVA , if you call a local dealer they will confirm wether or not your serial number has ever had the update and if the recall still is in effect.
I was most surprised as mine were done some 15 years on from date of manufacture ...Bert

Did you ever end up talking to your buddy? I just purchased a '95 that was manufactured in March of '94... so I'm assuming it will need replaced if it hasn't been done already. The PO doesn't know if it was done... so my guess is that it hasn't.
