What are the buttons on my new 993?

Most likely it is for a garage door opener that was installed by previous owner. You can pull the panel off and see if it is connected to anything. I added a switch like this and tucked my garage door opener underneath the panel. Be very careful pulling the panel off. The tabs that hold it secure get very brittle and break easily.

Yep. That's the switch for the targa top but I did the same thing in putting my garage door opener in that slot. You're so right on those tabs as I did this a few years ago and the tabs cracked so I ended up getting replacements on Shapeways.

Finally I can stop pushing the switch randomly and looking all around to see if anything happened.
