Headlight out - good idea to convert to HID's?

The DDM ones are $30 right now. Not sure if I should snag it, or pony up more for the other T- light kit that includes the fogs as well. Would like all to match color wise...

Having trouble with the right side ddm light not turning on every time. I would step up to the T light kit. Looks like its better made but I do not know. T light includes relays?

I just put in the T-light that Tore makes and they are great. Really easy to do. 10-15min tops. Tore is also great to work with. I had one light bulb break for the fogs and he sent me a new one no charge. Highly recommend it. Ditto on the T-lock, all his stuff is top notch.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate this! I've put in a lot of work in my stuff, and always test them thoroughly in my own 993.
hkspwrsche, the T-Lock kit include all you need for the installation, and the ballast is kept safely attached inside the headlight enclosure. I see no need for any relays, the HID bulbs draw less current than a normal 55W halogen bulb.
Cheers,
Tore

So, if one buys a kit for the low beam and fogs, what type of bulb should I get for the high beam (what type is it?) to match up close color wise? I ordered some excellent Philips ones for my Tacoma from a place called Candlepower, and if they make the same bulb for the high beams, I'd like to snag them.

The kit has a LED bulb replacement for the foglights which is now a blue white. Is there a bulb that you can get for the parking lights which will change it from a more yellow light to a bluer light to match better?
Maybe it's the other way around, but regardless, the lights are different colors now. The T-kit is sweet though.
Those foglights are a real PITA to get back in when you've swapped out the bulbs.

The T-Light LED's are of type Ba9s for the park lights, not the fogs. They are about 6000K. I've tried several and have found that they give the best light output, more yellow and blue types tend to have a bit lower light output.I'm sure you can find LED's with a more blue tint, eBay has lots of these.
The fog lamps are H3, and I have not found a good LED solution for these yet. The reflector/lens construction is not ideal for LED solutions. I've tried forward-facing-single-LEDs and multiple-LED round-beam types to no avail. To me, they all look feeble in the 993 fog light, and does not produce a usable light compared to the halogen bulbs. I guess a H3 xenon kit would be better, but I have not gone down this road yet.
Cheers,
Tore

Have T-lights and the LED fog lights like in my avatar . They are from Carnewal http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm
" Turbo "S" Air Scoops with LED's
These P93 Turbo S air scoops come with 9 ultra bright LED's in each light housing and the produced light is bright enough to be used as "Daytime Running Light".
The Turbo S air scoops can be installed on every P93 with a standard or Turbo bumper cover, with our without bumperettes.
The intake feeds extra air to the oil cooler and A/C condenser.
Below is an air scoop with the normal 5W bulb on the left and the LED version on the right side. "
Cheers Guy

Job done! The foglights were much harder to get back in than installing all the pieces of the headlight combined.
The T-Light is a great kit, fits like a glove, can;'t wait to drive it at night. I just want to find whiter bulbs for the foglights as they seem weirdly out of place now that the headlights and parking lights are so white.

Well worth the money.

I just installed the T-light kit myself, could not be anymore pleased, and I am not easily pleased. I replaced the high beam, and fog light H1's with Sylvania Silverstar ZXE zenon bulbs. They match the whiter brilliance of the T-lights.
