Help new front brake lines installation problem
Hi all,
need your help to figure out the installation of the brand new Original Porsche front rubber brake lines 993.355.139.00 I bought.
I own a '97 C4S.
I'm after the way to connect the PET part number 7
113.611.715A(a cilp called brake hose bracket front).
I have a problem.
I tried all the way(to my concern, change side, swap side, turn them up-side down, check the part number etc)to make the C-shaped hose barrel in the line to correspond with the body C-shaped holder
No matter how much I torque the line.
It ends-up to 180° from the correct position.
Do you have any advise?
cheers

Ok, think I get you, you are talking about where the solid brake line and rubber line intersect at the body tab? (where the clip holds the line in place to the body?).
I thought the end of the solid brake line was a compression end so you can turn it to match the D shaped hole, put the hose in the hole, and then tighten down the compression fitting?
Can you post a picture?
cheers,
Mike

The recess in the rubber brake line for the ‘U’ clip is 12mm dia and is round so it does not matter how it is rotated, in fact it does not rotate once you have pushed it into the mounting bracket on the body. As Mike has just said, push the rubber line into the bracket and screw on the hard line. Then slide in the ‘U’ clip which has a 12.3mm opening. If you have a lot of body seal on the bracket it can make getting the clip #7 in position tricky. It may require a gentle tap as the clip has to flatten.
