My first 993 was a tip, when I decided I wanted a manual tranny, I took a bath trying to sell it.

The statement "it worth as much as someone is willing to pay for" does apply much more to tip than stick. Since very few want them, they may worth even less. Will I buy a C2S for $15k less? No. But someone that want a nice automatic DD, Yes.

Check this other one, local to me, for sale since a long time. I've seen it and it is stunning, low mileage, black C2S, but it's a tip. Price is high as well:

One anomaly does not a trend make.

Only my observation but it seems to me that the majority of the cars that this dealer has always seem to have stories.

The value deduct for a tip depends on model, mileage and overall condition:

Crazy low mileage (sub 15k) C2S- $70k car. With TIP high $40's to low $50's.

Crazy low mileage C2 $50k. TIP $37-42k.

Crazy low mileage Cab $50k, TIP Cab $45k.

Driver quality C2 $28-33k. TIP $23-28k

High mileage C2 $25k TIP $22k.
