To me the IIs sounds like my factory motor sound with the fabspeed bypass. That saved some weight! I wonder what the fabspeed sport cats and F IIs sound like? Anyone have that combo?

And one thing that I like about the RSRs is that they are the lightest of them all based on Fister's own figures. After I bought the RSRs I turned around and sold my stock Motor Sound muffs to Fister so somebody out there has a piece of my 993 in theirs, hopefully in the form of IIIs. In the end the RSRs only cost me $50.

I would like to pair up my RSRs with some Fister sport cats for the best of both worlds.
Lightest? I thought the Fister IIIs came in around 10lbs each. IIRC the RSRs were around 12bs each. Not much of a difference really, but I always thought the IIIs were the lightest of the bunch.

From a post last year:

Here is how they weigh on my scale:
Stock.........16 lbs
Stage II.....14 lbs
Stage III....11.6 lbs
RSR...........11 lbs
LW Stg III ...10.2 lbs (heat shield mounts shaved off/ceramic coated)
I was off as the ceramic coated IIIs are lighter than RSRs.

splitting hairs at this point....

my own weight fluctuates by more than that on a daily basis....

Both RSR and Fisters clearly offer advantages over stock in additions to the aural enhancements!

They are very close in weight depending on the cans (no two sets of muffs weigh exactly alike,) yet very different in design

Drove my friend's 96 C4S with recently install stage II, very noticeable torque increase from idle to 5000 rpm, seems breath a whole lot better, sound great and not too loud,
I run a set of RSR cans for about 2 yrs and it's not too bad,bit louder then the stock motor sound, but I thing the stage III will bring out the true music out of our motor, I will get my in 2 days, car is on the lift in the garage and waiting........HURRY UP UPS !!
