FISTER VS RSR
#17
I'm quite happy with my RSR,but not completly.
Looking for deeper sound at wot and no drone,I made few mods like 200 cell cats,ss tips, and otho or brass inside pipes.
Going the right way,but still not completly satysfied.
If anyone wants to hear the various step, oook for 01coccobet the path to sound perfection youtube

I have gone from RSRs, to Fister Stage IIs to current Fister Stage III's.
I liked the RSRs and didn't really notice any drone issue (top is rarely up, however). The reviews of the Stage IIs were so great that I just had to try them and loved them. The stage IIIs came into existence and I couldn't resist making the final jump to them. IIs or IIIs You cant go wrong. I sometimes think I actually heard a few more pops and burbles at slower, around town driving with the IIs, but absolutely love the stage IIIs. Nothing like starting the car up in the garage on a cool morning and hearing those crackle to life!!
As other have said, Darrin was awesome to work with.

So i just picked up my car from getting new oil lines installed and the mufflers were put on at the same time. I can only say two words. BAD ***, if they can make a turbo growl then the II;s or the III's must be awesome on the old flat six.

the Fisters are everything that's been said, and more.
I have Stage lll's. Next to driving it...I'm happy sitting in a chair 10-15' behind it while idling. Naturally, having a legal beverage in hand only add's to the experience.
On the road, window's down, sunroof open...dipping deep into the rev range, life is good.

OK, I question this: HOW can you say you searched, and "found nothing" about Fister mufflers???? A Google search of Fister Mufflers, at least, would take you to their website (first hit), that has all the pricing info you'd ever want.
It seems you said the same thing on Motorsound airbox covers, which is also surprising. I'd suggest playing with different terms.

Exhaust and the sounds generated are a VERY personal preference. There is no right or wrong. What ultimately makes you happy is for YOU and YOU only to decide.
And here's an extra tidbit: what makes you happy today may not be ideal tomorrow. I can't stress the personal preference thing enough. Listen to as many variations as you can and do so IN PERSON ( sound clips don't count).
