Default how many quarts of oil in oil change?

I have the side fill oil tank with no dipstick... so how many quarts of oil do you drain and add during a normal oil/filter change?

A normal oil change on a normal 993 is 10 quarts. Not sure exactly what you have. Do you have a way to measure what's coming out, and add the appropriate amount back in?

Depends where I fill it to on the dipstick / oil level gauge.

Last few changes: 10.5 to 11.5 liters.

My numbers above are based on removing the line and letting everything drain for an hour or two.

I'd disagree with this. I consider a normal change to be both filters, and mine typically takes 10.5 qts. This is very much on par with my old 911.

In my recollection, just about 10qts, both filters and the line... (Motul 300V comes in 2 liter jugs and I end up with one jug just under half full.)

Thanks guys... Looks like I might be filling about a quart or so low.

fyi... my oil tank/breather system shown below for those who asked. Have 8micro canton filter / thermostat in front before coolers - hence no filter / thermostat on bottom of tank.
